Show Your Appreciation

I'm anal about showing my appreciation. If someone does me a solid, no matter how big or small it is, you have to say Thank You! - It's so simple to do!

I remember around 15yrs ago, I was donating to this mission up in north Portland. I was sending over fruits & veggies that I really could not sell. All the guys in the mission were so happy, that they came out and helped me unload. I still remember their faces, like I was royalty or something.

A few days later I received a "Thank You" letter in the mail from the head of the mission. He told me of all the nice dishes he made out of the veggies I donated, and ended it with "God bless you and your family always!" I was so touched by the card, I delivered a shit-load of No.1 stuff to him the next week. Again, I was greated by such an abundance of joy from the guys at the mission. The feeling felt addicting and warm! A few days later I received another "Thank You" card!

I thought how classy it was to get those "Thank You" cards, so I went to Walgreens and got me a package of "Thank You" cards, and ever since then if anyone does me a "solid" or anything positive I get a "Thank You" card out to them in a heartbeat. I feel you could send a Thank You card out almost for anything. If someone gives you a job interview, send them a card. If someone solves a problem for you, send them a Thanks. It's the classy end to any positive interaction, make it part of your life- it sort of cleanses your soul!
